Wishlist
Things I Want
A Wishlist is a collection of things I genuinely want to experience.
- Places I want to visit.
- Things I want to buy.
- Books I want to read.
- Food I want to try.
- Events I want to attend.
- Things I want to see, learn, discover, or experience.
It is simply a place to keep track of things that have caught my attention and made me think, “I really want to do that.”
This isn't a Bucket List.
A bucket list can feel like a list of things we must accomplish someday.
My Wishlist is much more casual than that.
There is no deadline.
No order.
No pressure.
No promise that everything here will happen.
Some wishes may happen next week.
Some may happen years from now.
Some might disappear because I change my mind.
And that's completely okay.
Why Keep a Wishlist?
Because sometimes we discover something we genuinely want, but we're not ready to experience it yet.
Maybe I see a restaurant I'd love to try.
Maybe I find a book I want to read.
Maybe I discover a museum I want to visit.
Maybe there's something beautiful I want to buy—but not today.
Instead of letting those little wishes disappear, I keep them here.
The Wishlist becomes a little collection of things I'm curious about and looking forward to.
What's On My Wishlist?
You might find :
Want to Visit
Places, museums, exhibitions, cities, restaurants, cafés, hotels, and other places I'd love to experience.
Want to Buy
Things I've been considering, admiring, or saving for.
Want to Read
Books waiting to find their way onto my reading list.
Want to Eat
Restaurants, dishes, cafés, and food experiences I want to try.
Want to Try
Activities, experiences, classes, events, or anything else that makes me curious.
Want to See
Art, architecture, performances, exhibitions, films, and beautiful things I haven't experienced yet.
The list can change anytime.
Some things will eventually move from Wishlist to Experience.
Some might become a Review.
Some may become Alicia's Picks.
And some will simply remain wishes.
That's part of the fun.
A List Without Pressure
I don't believe everything we want has to become a goal.
Sometimes it's enough to simply say :
“I'd really love to experience this someday.”
No productivity required.
No five-year plan.
No achievement attached.
Just curiosity.
Because life isn't only about accomplishing big things.
Sometimes it's also about having little things to look forward to.
And that's what this Wishlist is for.
Things I want.
Things I'm curious about.
Things I'm looking forward to.
Maybe one day, I'll get to experience them.
Until then, they'll stay here : On my Wishlist.
Love,
Alicia Van Akker
